this post is about a file management utility for apple os x called Path Finder.
Path Finder extends os x's file browser, Finder. it allows you to manage your files better.
For example you can preview text, pft, rtf, images, videos, etc. While Finder gives a glimpse of the file's contents in a thumbnail - Path Finder has a preview pane which allows you to view its contents. it also has a hex viewer for binary files.
Path Finder also allows you to see all hidden files. you'd be surprised to see the junk folders various applications creates :)
it has a shell terminal pane - quite useful when executing shell commands while referring install files.
Path Finder allows multiple file browsing sessions presented in the form of tabs like in Firefox. I thought this is useful rather than having multiple Finder windows open.
its multi-threaded and its low in eating memory but tends to eat up on cpu time.
